In my mind. people get married because they care about each other and want to spend the rest of thier lives together instead of being lonely. They have the same interests, they care about each other. I would rather be married than have someone anawer all my wuestions for me and not let me speak.Marriage has to be a wonderful thing, I'm 43, still single and I don't like it. As far as enjoying marriage without getting married, that's not legal in my state.Being single is depressing at times, for me anyway.I stated I'm 43, living with parents & don't get treated my age,is it because I have epilepsy ? No matter the reason, there's no good excuse for it. Maybe some people find that special someone & gets married to get away from the *bleeping* stuff they have to put up at home.

Beifits...huh...anyway, you marry someone because you are so in love you want to committ your entire life to that person and no one else. Just as you thrive to graduate from high school or college to earn that piece of paper that confirms that you did indeed 'make the grade', you do it out of a sense of love and comittment and knowing that your life is now binded to another person. If you're asking a question like that, you obviously haven't found someone you can truly comitt to without giving up your freedom and carefreeness. Sorry you haven't found that, but when you do, come back and share your feelings.

Marriage is the ultimate sign of true devotion. When you and your partner stand up there and say vows, you are publically announcing your commitment for life to one another. I think it's an amazing thing and I think we should be very careful going about who we choose to marry.
Marriage is so sacred and I can't stand the celebrities that get married and then a few days later get it anulled for what ever reason. If you are marrying that person, you should be wholly prepared to devote your life to that relationship.
Plus, married people get tax breaks. :)

Because the commitment and love that you have for one person is different from the way you feel about others. You share the same stuff, eat the same food, live under one roof and it's all built by love. The most beautiful feeling you'd ever experience.

True. But there might come a time that you will voluntarily propose marriage at the right time for the right person. Somebody who is beyond you and who will make u feel that you cannot keep him/her for good if you not would commit. And u will not feel be forced to propose at all. It will be so spontaneous.

You are right, socially speaking, but legally speaking married people in many countries enjoy benefits that non-married couples can't use. Has to do with child custody, insurance benefits, hospital visitation, inheritance, etc. Even taxes sometimes.
Plus people still look at married people as being more stable than non-married people. Not so much anymore, but still so in the business world.

Well, you think it's enjoyment....But if you choose to have sex and not be married....TROUBLE..TROUBLE!!! The bible say it is better to marry than to burn.....FORNICATION!!!! All this stuff is real!!! I'm sticking with waiting until I get married...February of '07!!! I was once in this situation and I got the full understanding...sex is meant for husband and wife.

I'm getting married in January. We are doing it to show our love and celebrate it with our families. With our wedding, our family can see that we are commited to each other and they don't have to worry that we will separate.

The trust and commitment benefits that come with marriage cannot be had if the commitment isn't made. You are fooling yourself. But, to each his own.
