I doubt if anyone ever feels that they have no room for improvement. You are in the same boat as everyone else is, so don't worry about things so much...you would be surprised how many times the things that the things that we see as glaring faults in ourselves when we look in the mirror go unnoticed by others...or even seem attractive to them.

Just be a good, interesting person, and if someone doesn't want to know you because you have the wrong hair color, or you are an inch too short, well, that will be their loss, not yours.

I don't see how being afraid of rejection is in any way "being true to yourself."

I don't think u are being true to yourself by telling yourself u are not pretty enough, or nice enough. You need to build your self confidence and self worth before u will be able to take any initiative with anyone. Just know that u are the best u can be and if someone doesn't accept u for that, then they are not the person for u.

If you're new to the dating game yes it can be a bit rough. Be brave, toughen up and make your move. Hopefully it's true love and he remains faithful and gentle to you and doesn't move on with another girl. I hope you win his heart but you might have to make a move or two and take some initiative. Speak with your school counselor or even your mom about it. She once was young and in love too remember she speaks from experience. Good luck girl friend. NO DO NOT Change for anyone girl you stay true you yourself and if a guy can't love you for you he can't love anyone. You go girl.

You've got some stuff to deal with. If you're hard on yourself and don't see the good and beautiful in you, even when, notice I said when, a guy does show interest, you'll push him away. Maybe you should talk to someone to try and resolve what has you so down on yourself.
