Good rebuttal, Wish I had thought of that.

Astrology and Astronomy are intimately connected. Around the time people started telling stories of the stars, go back even two thousand years on the Dark continent of Africa where stories were told of the dog star Sirius. Without it being visible to the naked eye African Tribesmen knew Sirius was a 'twin star'- two stars in a shared orbit. How did they know this- We have a knowledge of the universe that predates science and in the same way that astornomy has an informed past, so does astrology. The 12 Zodiacal signs are all out there in the constellations, in fact they form some kind of a band across the stars marking history with time and hapennings as they have made there way from rising to setting. forgive my lack of detail, but they also rise at specific points not only every night but every millenium, marking out time in mutiples of 12. Aries denotes the first age to end, then the next star sign and so on until all star signs are completed at which point earth finds itself in conjunction with elements of where it began and ended after time has passed - just like the seasons. It allows us to place significance on Earhts journey through the stars in the macrocosm and similar significance can be gained by plotting the microcosm- humans lives and birthdates. It attempts to connect the two and offers insight into starting a way of believing that we came from the stars. It is very different to religion in this sense as information in astrology is about owning and divining the truth rather than just being fed it.

Astrology is even less true because it has been around for so long and the earth's axis has since moved slightly (seehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Precession_of_the_equinoxes) and now all the old astrological charts still used are wrong.
In other words, if you thought you were a Scorpio cos you were born in those dates, you're not. the stars were ata differnet position on teh day of your birth, making you something else.

We Hindus strongly believe in astrology, simple example, through astrology calculation we even predicted on what date and time new moon will appear and when the full moon shows, in Hinduism nothing good is performed without consulting astrology.

The power of MAGNETISM is proven scientific FACT! And the differnet
starins within the magnetic field of the Solar Sysytem create different pressures on our bodies, and our behaviour.
Like the full moon. The moon pulls the OCEAN, and the human body is 80%
water.
PUT THAT ON YOUR PIPE AND SMOKE IT!

Astrology is so stupid. I mean, to judge ones personality and character traits by what month and year they were born is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my life.

Astrology was invented by Nimrod and Semiramis his queen, some time before the founding of the tower of Babel. As for religion, God is not pleased with you. As someone once said ' my God laughs at your non god.'
