15 minutes, before rampant global warming, or an ice age begins.
Look at the earth's history. There have been periods where it was both much warmer or much cooler than it is now. All of this happened long before there was an industrial revolution, SUV's, or even humans.
Calm down you're buying into the hype of a bunch of self serving researchers scrambling to obtain additional funding.

Scientists think the sun has about 4-5 billion years left. When it expands into a red giant it will engulf the earth.
If you mean before we destroy it due to our own stupidity, stop worrying. We may kill ourselves off and make it rough on most life but the earth itself will endure. In a few million year there will be a whole new ecosystem that doesn't include us. What's a few million years to this old girl anyway?
Don't buy into the ongoing calamity hype. There is very little evidence that any of it is going to happen and a lot of evidence that it won't.

The problem in answering this query is that there are too many variables. An asteroid could crash into the planet in a matter of seconds or it may last until the Sun collapses.
That is, If this isn't a rhetorical question.
