Why will be there a clash between Heaven and Hell, if God has infinite powers? Why does Satan even attempt to conquer Heaven whe he know he doesn't have a chance?

Looking into the Scriptures, Satan never called into question God's power. He called into question God's right to rule. If God had just destroyed him right then & there, it would have proved nothing but that fact that, sure, God is stronger - A simple 'Look, I am stronger' wouldn't convince anybody that God deserves our full respect & honor. What needed to be proven was that God's creations are not better off ruling themselves, as Satan claimed to Eve, and that God does indeed have a right to show humans (& angels) the best way to live - after all, he created us and knows us better than ourselves. So, the only way to let that be proven, was to give time, to allow Satan to have his time to 'do his thing', so that everyone could eventually see that nothing would result from Satan's claim except pain, chaos, power-struggles, etc, & that God truly was right. Take for example a strong-willed child - no matter how many times you tell them not to do something that could hurt them, they do it anyway. Sure, you can punish them, but that doesn't help them respect you. It's not until you give them the opportunity to try it their own way, that they truly learn what you were trying to teach them, & also respect you from their heart. Infinite power isn't the reason for Armageddon - Armageddon will simply be the end of this time that was given to Satan to try to 'prove his point'.

Regarding attempting to conquer, the Bible states that Satan 'is angry, knowing he only has a short time left'. It's not so much that he is attempting to conquer, as that he is attempting to go down kicking & screaming & causing as much havoc as possible, and bring down with him as many as he can. Think of a 'if I can't have it, neither can you' type attitude, if you will.

Satan has a lot of people doing things his way, that is, trying to say that their way is best. He has a lot of people misled. No one knows EXACTLY what Armaggedon will be like. But, not only will it be there to get rid of him & his 'armies' (both the angelic & the human), but it will show once & for all, not who is stronger, but who is right & who deserves our respect & love.

Satan is the untimate demonstration of sin. He just wants to pull down as many people as he can with him.
Revelation 12:12 "For this reason, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time."
Armageddon is not a clash between Heaven and Hell. It is a great war on earth between the nations of the earth who are assembled against Israel. At the end Christ intervenes.

Armageddon will be the mother of all wars and when it is done Jesus will restore the balance again only this time it will be the healthy state of mankind truly loving one another.
Armageddon is all about destroying mankind as the devil hates us with an indescribable vengeance and he has many many followers today who are deceived into thinking that he will win and rule and that they will be rewarded, this is simply foolish as the devil has no regard for us at all
those who follow him knowingly or unknowingly will push the world into the worst conceivable war you can imagine and so this war will be at human level and God will allow this to take place as the final defeat of satan and all who follow him, but those who love God will be greatly rewarded, and so we must all choose what side we are on and remain trusting in Godand although it will be terrible the outcome is already set and Jesus and those who follow Him will win.

Yes, God is all powerful. He could stop it. Jesus didn't HAVE to die on the cross. When this facts were written in the bible, they were revealed to us by a God who saw them happen. God lives outside of time as we do, so he sees the future happening now. He tells us our history in advance so that we can know he is real. TONs of bible prophesy has already been fulfilled.

Anyway, Armageddon happens not because God wants it to happen, but because man, wish his sinful nature, causes it to happen. Armageddon is just one war that takes place at some point in the future between Muslim forces and Israel. The Muslims loose when God fights for Israel. Armageddon is not a world wide conflict. Armageddon is just a field in Israel that is actually called, "Hill of Megiddo". It is the place where this particular battle will be centered around.

It is unclear from scripture if this will take place before or after the rapture (since we don't really know when the rapture is going to occur). But you can certainly see things working their way towards this batter today. Especially with Iran going the way they are going.

The forces that fight against Israel are Iran, some of the nations of the old Russian republic, Lybia, the Sudan, Ethiopia. (Bible Scholars, please correct me if I'm wrong here, I'm doing it from memory). In the bible, these natures are refered to Gog, Magog and Gomer and maybe Put.

Anyway, back to your question. This battle happens because of mans sinfulness.

It's a story to make people afraid from hell, don't believe in armageddon...During history many people predicted the end of the world, but they were all wrong. There is only one creature capable of making an end to the world, and thats Man (or women;-) )

Because each one of us is a Son or Daugher of God and we are all individuals that he loves. He knows us all personally. Satan knows us too. He hates us and wants us to be miserable like he is. The more he can get to follow him and fall, the more satisfied he thinks he'll be. The more he can keep from living with God again, the more satisfied he thinks he'll be.
