I live in Spain and eat a lot of cornflakes. I can't read the box, but I was wondering if it was one of those pretend nutricious things that are really bad for you? Thanks for the help...spanish lessons on the way!

No, cornflakes are very good for you. But.....it also depends on the additives. Most of the time way too much sugar is added (which is pretty much universally true of breakfast cereals) and then it also depends on what vitamins, etc. are added. Corn is very good for you, but it is missing some key vitamins, so you couldn't live on a diet of exclusively corn. But added to a well-balanced diet, cornflakes make an excellent contribution to the diet.

Yes they are, and proven so as it is a popular worldwide breakfast cereal/meal. Eat without fear, if not, you may find a supermarket that stocks american Kellogg's Cornflakes if u dont fancy Latin-made Cornflakes. (The Spanish ones are fake, corn is not cultivated in there)

P.S.: The best way is to variantise your cornflakes, add fruits like sliced bananas or strawberry halves, and u may add nuts)

If you have children, it may be fun if you use Strawberry Flavoured milk instead. It tastes better.

I don't think they are necessarily bad or good....just a filler food. Add some fruits to it and maybe some nuts for better nutritional value.
