I have looked at religon because quite alot of people seem to be into it. However upon looking into it I found there are many differnt types, and most contradict each other, or in some cases themselves. So can anyone tell me what the real true religon is? I don't want to waste my time in something that isn't real after all. If you could give me details on denomination or anything else relevant to the real group I'd apreciate it. Thanks.

I have noticed that many people have been using Christianities God as an example. To clarify, this is fine however I will REFUSE to read or listen to answers that are:
- Justified by Scripture of their movement
- That asks me to "ask god" for the answer, which implies I belive he exists in the first place
- Which does not state why this one religon is bettert than others ie. whats wrong with the others.
Also, please state which donominaton of christianity if you decide to post so, many have very differnt belifes.

You need to understand the real reason that you are investigating religion. Every human being ever created was created to be with God. That is why all peoples of all times and places have had religions. By human reason alone, people can reach the conclusion that there is a God and that we, his creatures, owe him some kind of service. From this reasoning, the universal ancient practice of sacrifice came. The problem is that human reasoning alone cannot tell us enough about God to serve him the way he wants us to.
Human reason also tells us that there is only one God. Aristotle, living in polytheistic ancient Greece and using human reason alone, declared that there is only one God (based in part on how well ordered the universe is).
The original monotheistic religion is Judaism. God, necessarily, revealed himself to these people. In time he sent some of those people throughout the world to teach what he had revealed, so that all people could know how to serve him.
The hard part is doing your homework. You have to study to find out what is true. I studied church history and that's how I found the truth. If you read church history, it will show you that the Catholic Church is the church founded by God and that all of her doctrines are Truth.
During my years of study, I have read many ancient writings that show beyond any reasonable doubt that the Catholic Faith is the fullness of Truth revealed by God. I have created a web site with excerpts from many of these writings showing what the first Christians believed and that it was the same Catholic Faith that the Church has today.

There is no real donomination such as Methodist, Catholic, Babtist, Pentecoastal etc.... The truth comes from the Bible, and the real religion is in the Bible... Follow the teachings that are in the Bible that is the only right way... I'm not saying don't go to church because you should, i go to Full Gospel church and i'm not going to say that my church is 100% no matter what right about everything because no church is... Church's are made up of humans and humans make mistakes.. But as long as you follow the BIble and do God's will and what is true in your heart then you will be fine in any aspect that you choose... There will be many people from all types of denominations that will make it to heaven, but there will be alot that don't... Only the ones that are true about the word of God, and live there lives daily as he would, who do his will and follow him threw everything, who has accepted Jesus Christ as there saviour, and into there lives will make it to the kingdom of God... Before you decide to follow a certain type of denomination or religion at that, pray and ask God the Bible says ask and you shall be answered... So listen for his answer, and follow that regardless if its the one that you want to hear or not..

The most important things to look for when in search for the one, true religion, is consistency, over-all spirit or feeling that comes from the church/beliefs/lifestyles, what ordinances they have to offer and what for and why, and how you feel and believe and think inside; is this the one true one?
To find out which one it is doesn't mean that you have search the world over to find it. Just keep looking and praying about each one, or about what they follow or believe in, strictly, that sets them apart from others, and then take your question directly to God who will give you an answer. You will know without a doubt when you've found the one, true religion.
The scriptures say to study it out in your mind, then ask God, in the Name of Jesus Christ, if it be true. If you pray with a sincere heart, nothing wavering, having faith that you'll recieve an answer, then God will indeed bless you with one.
Many will come to you to try to hinder your belief. Many will say to you that what you are doing is a waste of time, foolish, or that there is no one true religion. But there is! There is one, true God. One true Faith. One true baptism. One true Gospel. God would never have many different faiths, beliefs, gospels, scriptures, baptisms. Why? Because this variety is confusing, contradicting, misleading, misguiding, and can bring contention. God says contention is of the devil. God is not confusing. God is perfect, all-knowing, all-powerful.
Anyway, look to the biggest and fastest growing religions first and figure out why they are this way. What makes hundreds and thousands and millions want to be members of these churches? What draws them? What keeps them going and influences them to completely change everything about them to stay members? What is different about them than others?
Seek out the leaders or recruiters or missionaries that are in these religions and learn first-hand about these religions before you judge them or follow what other people say about them.
LIke they say, get info first hand "FROM THE HORSE'S MOUTH", and not from some "other dude" with an opinion.

"The real true religion is what make you confident in it, believe in it without even have a 'tick' doubt. And you feel calm and serenity because you have it".
Follow what you want and what you think in your heart on why you want a religion. Is it because other people have it and you want it too? Or is it for something else? Finding the real true religion is something you should not take lightly or playfully. It shoul be consider very seriously. Or you would find it only useless. Sorry for I'm saying that but that's what is it. There is a real true religion. I'm not telling you, search it youself. You will treasure it if you find it someday.

Jesus Christ said this about himself in the book of John 14:6 " I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Read the book of John in the Holy Bible. You will know from it the truth. Many will try to lead you down the wrong path, so be careful. I say read the Bible because you can make up your own mind.

Understand that religion is man searching for God. Once you ask God to forgive your sins and ask Jesus then it becomes a relationship. I have a personal relationship with the ONE true God (The Father, the Son, and The Holy Spirit) three persons in perfect unity. Denomination, I'm sorry to say, is man trying to make Gods word adjust to what he wants and not what God wants. I attend a denominational church but only allow the Bible (Gods word) to be my final instruction.

the real faith has no longer even been imagined as a threat, till human beings see that we are all related closer than our breath, you could no longer do something to anyone else which you're no longer doing to your self, because of the fact we are no longer separate potential, we in basic terms think of we are because of the fact we are fragmented and have not more advantageous to our ability yet. whilst we do there'll be no choose for faith, the certainty will set us freed from dogmas. enormous BANG NOW.
