No, honey is a natural sugar and it is not refined. My husband lost 10 lbs. by switching from sugar to honey. It's actually a very tasty substitute! Easier for the body to metabolize.

I not listen to other people. I like sugar and I like honey, stress will kill us quicker than either of these. I am still alive and in fairly good health. I remember once my Dad was talking and he already had a Heart-attack. Well he told me one day; "If, I got to eat 'Rice-cakes' the rest of my life, I may as well be dead", He had his Bacon and Eggs until he died at 70, his mother (My Grandmother) ate similar and lived to be 103. It just how life is, so, I eat what I want.
I assume people will say honey is bad, but, it actually has medicinal purposes. Just something about how the Bees make it I guess.

Honey is a natural form of sugar. I know if Oprah can use it, and tell about it on national T.V. it must be so.!!! Right??? Good Luck, and watch the labels for the flour too, its a getter for your fat around your heart!!

No, honey has the same effect on your body and blood glucose/insulin as sugar does. Also avoid glucose, fructose, high fructose corn syrup & dextrose.

Honey is much better in my opinion because it is not artificial, but is natural.
