I came in us with an h2b visa, my status is temporary worker.

JPB and Just are correct: you must be either a US citizen or a legal permanent resident in order to serve in the US military.

You must be a permanent alien or a citizen. Temporary visas do not work for enlistment into any US military service.

I think you just go and talk to a recruiter like normal. A guy I went to Navy boot camp was a Mexican citizen and I know there were other people there from other countries. You can get US citizenship in about 2 yrs I think if you join US military if you want to get it.

Submarine service is completely voluntary. you won't be able to be assigned to a submarine till you request it. in case you ever do settle on to be assigned to a sub and settle on you don't love it, you'd be transfered off. the purely element of the army required to serve on subs are submariners ;)
