Why not just call them and invite them to your house for dinner ?
What a joyful experience for the lonely and forgotten . And don't assume they do have somewhere to go, you may be surprised.

how true as there are many people who are alone for the Holidays. sad to say there are some who may be extremely depressed and do something which someone could easily prevent.
