It seems the vaastu shastra is a fine tuning, a special touch to ad to architectural work.
It just seems we need to first consider some things in regards to building a city. How is waste, pollution, energy, food, education, employment, health, etc to be handled? Is there adequate care to really avoid air and water pollution coming out of a city? We don't want any pollution.
Humans may be better than animals in so many ways, but aren't we also eating, sleeping, mating and fighting just like the animals do? We are just engaging in these animal propensities while living in fancy homes and vehicles.
So I think we need to work out this basic foundation. After we have worked out these basic problems of life then perhaps we can build according to something like vaastu sashtra.
