Not exactly, but yeah.
It's sorta like the scottish version of the breakfast burrito....breakfast foods all mashed together in one package and turned into a type of sandwich.

Yep, that's a Scotch egg. Peeled hard boiled eggs, coated in ground pork sausage, rolled in bread crumbs and deep fried.
I love them, it's like an all in one breakfast on the go. I don't know why so many people I know think they're gross. No worse than a breakfast sandwich from McD's!

When making Scotch eggs...here's a tip. Make sure you use small eggs, they are easier to make and look better. Just boil the eggs, wrap them in sausage meat ( just take the sausage meat out of their casings), roll in bread crumbs and fry until the sausage is cooked. They are really good!

Yes, those are called Scottish Eggs, and they are pretty good to.
First, you hard boil your eggs, cool, and then peel your eggs, roll in breadcrumbs, and deep fry.

you gotta wrap it in sausage meat before you roll it in the breadcrumbs and fry it.
You can cut them vertically, if you don't want to eat a whole one at once, or to set out for company.
they are goooood....and real easy to make!
