Just because it can't be proven it does not mean it does not exist. Human Spontaneous Combustion has been recorded since the early 1600. But as yet no scientifically proven theory has been developed - the link below is to a case in 1980 in Gwent - facts given only with no theory behind

I have a theory on that.
It really does not exist, but the corporate controlled government is seeding the population with this idea, while it is taking steps to restrict access to higher education in science and engineering to people that don't question authority.
These cell phone towers you see everywhere eventually will be location points to beam high powered focused ultrasound/microwaves to burn up the rare problem person.
Give it a generation or two and the concept will be an anknowleged fact in the newspapers and science texts.
You may not know it but most if not all the people you see or hear about that wear aluminum foil on their heads are being beamed at by ultrasound/microwave transmissions from cell phone towers, the same software used in guided missle systems used on attack helicopter and tanks is used to track and fire these ultrasound weapons at people.
This is just an early phase of the human combustion at will plan, that is my guess. Makes for a good movie anyway, when the secret is out in public it is safe from discovery.
There is a happy end to this story. Jesus returns, and all the people who allow and practice this sorcery of science are cast into the lake of fire as promised in the bible.

It can happen when the oxygen in the air rises to over 23%, the oil based fabrics begin to ignite and this eventually this spontaneously combusts the body.

It was thought to be called something up until recently called the wick effect. That being that the body had sufficient reserves of fat to burn at a consistent rate to reduce the body to the state of that seen in the rare few examples that have been recorded, as long as the was an accelerate present, i.e, perfume/alcohol. But I have since seen this theory disproved. So, it still remains a scientific mystery to date.

I have heard about such a thing but I dont think they suffer very much because they dont except it and looks like a fast fire, but maybe if we could talk to someone who lived thru such a fire they could let us all know how it feels I am sure not good. This is an interesting subject but I know nothing.
