I've tried to cut down on caffeine and milk as part of my diet so instead am drinking herbal teas but i don't like the taste. Is putting a teaspoon of honey in it still ok?

Yes, I do the same. I switched to green tea and add 1tspn of honey to soften the flavour. But, 1tspn of honey has the same calories as 1tspn of sugar. Since you only need 1tspn per 1 cup tea vs 2tspns per 1 cup coffee, you are taking in less calories.

It would depend on the calorific value of honey and the size of the spoon and how many cups of tea you might have in a day. Also, do you lick the spoon afterwards; have a crafty spoonful waiting for the kettle to boil; stick yer finger in just because?

it takes about 0ne third amount of honey to give the same sweetening effect as 0ne spoon of sugar so you will use less honey and if taken this way then NO it is not fattening at all. Just remember to use about one third the volume as you usaually take with sugar. Anything is fattening when taken in excess.

confident that's, that's organic honey... yet each and every thing moderately is great... till you're ingesting bowls of it, you will possibly desire to be ok.. And Jen G? your element checklist shouldn't say any of that, it would say: ingredients: honey Bees make honey, if human beings make it and it says corn syrup, and so on.. then you definately are actually not ingesting genuine honey besides..
