I find them horrible boring and can't stand to be around them..I know you guys feel the same way about us girls when we do it...I have a friend like this who I like, but he makes me sick with his constant whining and complaining...it's gotten to the point I can't stand to be around him...so what do I do...tell him how annoying he is? Or just start ignoring him...He lives next door, so it is going to be hard to ignore..I try to listen, but he just can't stop complaining about EVERYTHING???

I`m a man and agree with you all human beings complain sometimes, it`s in our nature. I can only suggest that you need to confront him and let him know about his negative attitude. If he dosen`t listen, just walk away as if he doesn`t exist. I do not speak to my next door neighbor, so I know where your coming from. GOOD LUCK!

He's been a great guy for five years and his behavior has suddenly changed. Something is going on with this guy. I'd talk to him, see what's changed in his life or maybe he's depressed. I think a 5 year friendship deserves a conversation rather than just assuming the guy has morphed into a whiny jerk for no reason. Good luck, good friends are hard to find.

If it is constant whining and complaining then yes it would be very annoying. However, guys are entitled to complain every now and then.

i don't know many men who complain all that much, but i have met some and yes. it is def. a turnoff. If I were you then i would start ignoring him and if he doesnt get the point then one day when he does it again ask politely why he complains so much...maybe he doesnt realize how much he does it.

Be truthful with your friend. Tell him your discomforts without being disrespectful. If he is a true friend, he will understand and try to adjsut his attitude. If he doesn't was he really your friend at all?
