What is your best excuse for getting rid of Jehovahs Witnesses?

Question

I have just had them knocking on the door 5 minutes ago....I had to tell them that I was just out of the bath (well, I was in my pyjamas).
Do you have any original excuses to see them off?
Each to their own as far as religion is concerned..if others want to practice their religion that's okay with me, but I don't want to be converted, thank you.

Just tell them you are putting the Christmas decorations up - they won't like that!

Whether it be the in the street or at my door, whichever religion, Tell them God is Man and Man is God, it confuses them long enough for you to either make a sharp exit or shut the door.

If they ask what you believe in, tell them 'yourself'.

It is beyond me why these people have not worked out that by knocking on peoples doors they are actually driving people away from the religion.

Be polite but firm tell them you are not interested, and close the door. By not answering the door it makes them think you are out and they will only return later, Jehovah's Witnesses never give up.

You do not have to explain anything to them.

If this fails try putting a notice on your door no Jehovah's Witnesses.

Quote 2 John: 7-11 that tells us to beware of false brethern. If a believer comes to you without the full doctrine of Jesus, you arent to even wish them well. God is very clear on this. I used to stand and talk to the Jehovah Wittnesses and try to show them why their beliefs were off. But, once I read that passage of scripture, it was clear, so I no longer will be in conversation with them. I dont make execuses, that is a lie, and that is wrong. I just say to them I am a full gospel Christian, I know about 2John: 7-11 and I am not being in converation with them, and I close the door. Dont slame it, not rude. just state the facts, and they leave. They cannot talk to someone that wont talk, and they cant argue against that scripture. They dont believe Jesus came in the flesh, they believe He came in secret. parosia. that is not the doctrine of Jesus and 2 John makes it clear, that the doctrine of Jesus means He came in the flesh and will come again. So, there you go. No more execuses or debating. Just stating the facts quickly and closing the door. Works every time. God said if we wish them well, we are partakers in their evil deeds. ( preaching a false gospel of Jesus), so, we must just obey HIM, and not be concerned with the fact they arent happy with us. Since Christians are told to be fishers of men I don't get rid of them I witness to them by pointing out their longggg.... list of errors, in the kindest way possible.

If you are not a Christian simply ask the JW if you had a very sick child and a doctor told you that your child would die if he/she did not receive a blood transfusion , would you let your child live or would you deny the child what he or she needed and therefore kill him or her?
When they give their answer say if you are cruel enough to want your own child to die, when you could easily save them, I can't trust you enough to let you into my house. If you will kill an innocent child, there is no telling what else you would do.


But if you must get rid of them because you are a new Christian who hasn't yet had the time to understand the reason for our major beliefs get a copy of Why You Should Believe in the Trinity by Robert Bowman and tell them you will study with them Why you should not believe in the trinity if they will study with you Why you should believe the trinity First.
They view Christian Literature the same way we view porn, so this should be enough to get you blacklisted from the JW's list of places to visit for quite some time. If it doesn't work to get rid of them you were lucky enough to get one with an open heart and they are ready to be witnessed to. Then tell them you are currently busy but you are willing to set a time for them to come back. Then e-mail me at [e-mail] and I will help you witness to them.

You dont need an excuse when you can shut the door in front of them, during mid sentence, as you ought to do with all door to door salesmen, as long as you are not worried about them throwing a fit and smashing your car window/slashing tires or something.

First off, they're not trying to convert u so stop being so rude. Just act like an adult and tell them that u are not interested and that u would appreciate if they didn't knock on your door anymore

There is no excuse necessary..that's why there is freedom....you are free to chose or not ...even God in the bible ..would rather for you to just chose...either be a believer or not From the old testament a prophet ..speaks by the mouth of God and says "choose ye this day whom ye are going to serve if God be God follow him but if baal follow him"

I actually had a Jehovah's witness kocked on my car window the other day when I was about to go to work! I rolled down the window thinking she needed help, but she tried to give me some of their literature about the religious world being over or something like that.

I just explained that I was a Spiritualist and she looked pretrified and backed away.

It was very odd. But worked.

Tell them that instead of talking about being christians , go around the nursing homes in the area and offer their services to take patients out for walks and help with the feeding at meal times , and then go to the local council and find out who among the elderly home owners needs help doing t he garden. There are many many things that they can do to help and behave like christians Sort of put their money where their mouth is..

Ask them how many TRUE Gods there are..then explain that if there is only ONE true GOD as they say, and if Jesus is indeed a God but He is not the true God...then he would have to be a false GOD....unless they are both ONE GOD as Jesus said.

After doing this a few times, they would bypass my house everytime.
