when my heart flutters sometimes it is hard to breath.

The flutter is your heart not pumpming blood the way it should are in synh with the other chambers of the heart. This is dangerous and could be fatal. GO SEE YOUR DOCTOR

Heart flutters and skipped beats are about the same. Actually your heart just misses a beat then has a premature one that causes the feeling.I have had these for years and they do cause anxiety. Get checked out by your doctor or he might send you to a cardiologist to see why you are having these. The shortness of breath you are having may be due to the anxiety you feel with the flutters. A 24 hr holter monitor can determine what's going on. Good luck.

Your probley having a PVC, (preventricular contraction) and they are common in young women. Sometimes its caused from anxiety, stress, caffiene, drug use. If they are frequent, they can be life threatening however. You should see you doctor about this, especially if it is causing shortness of breath.
