change hair color?

My wife is from Asia - totally long black hair. She want it white or very near white/light blond. How to do that, because when its so black I think it have to be made in many steps or ??

This is true, since she has such naturally dark hair you'll have to bleach in steps. I would pay a professional hairdresser to do it so it's less damaging and looks nicer. I would also tell her to consider a more natural blonde, like golden or something that looks nice with her skin. White blonde is done very often and looks fake, which can be unattractive. Dying a more natural shade of blonde is also healthier and less damaging to the hair and an easier color to maintain.

Steps it is. From black, to get a very nice blonde is a matter of waiting, and doing things correctly. When dyeing the hair blonde, bleaches strip hair of it's colour, but don't put any colour back in, leaving it yellow or orange.

What to do:
Start by using a highlighting cap kit for dark hair. Frost and Glow is a good one. Do this and you will have blonde highlights.

Then, 2 weeks later, use an all over colour (blonde) over the highlights- this will not only lighten the black hair to a light brown, but will lighten the highlights more as well.

And again, if you want a lighter colour of hair, wait 4 weeks this time, and do another all over blonde.

DO NOT TRY TO BLEACH YOUR HAIR. It will turn orange from black. I suggest for the all over colours to use L'Oreal Feria, or Les Blondissmes in ASH or Light blonde.

(Ash blondes neutralize yellow in blonde hair.)

i dont think she should color her hair. but if she still wantes to not blonde it will damage her hair. if you need to color it try a darker color like a light brown.
