Yes it is still very possible to contract all of these STDs through unprotected sex:
Chlamydia
Crabs/Scabies
Gonorrhea
Hepatitis B
Herpes
HIV
HPV (warts)
NGU
Syphilis

And yes it will show up if you take a bloodtest. These diseases are not just in the area of which you had intercourse, but also into your bloodstream. Please be careful with what you do because even though some STDs can be gotten rid of, there are also plenty that never go away. Not that you have never heard that all before, but better safe then sorry, right?

You can get an STD whether it's vaginal or anal. STDs are transmitted both ways and you have to be careful and use a condom each and every time you are sexually active because you're reducing the risk, but the best way to prevent infection or reinfecting yourself is to practice abstenence. Be smart in who your partners are and limit the sexual contact to someone you're married to or in a committed relationship with to avoid STD infection. Using common sense and educating yourself is the best way to prevention and lowering the risk of STD infection.
