No. Sucralose is the main ingredient in Splenda. Splenda is a combination product of sucralose and a bulking agent of dextrose and maltodextrin. Because it is 600 times sweeter than sugar they have to combine the sucralose with the bulking agent. Since 99% of Splenda is pure sugar there are actually 4 calories per packet. Diabetics sugar become uncontroled when they use splenda and it becomes controled as soon as they stop taking it. There is a loophole in that allows them to say 0 calories because the law says if their is less than 1 gram perserving they can say 0 colories but there really is 4 calories. 4 calories is not much but if diabetics use 3, 4 or 8 packets at a time because they think there is 0 calories.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.
Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

yes, splenda isn't sugar. see link
Can people with diabetes use SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener?
Yes. Numerous studies have shown that SPLENDA® Brand Sweetener, or sucralose, is suitable for people with diabetes. Sucralose is not recognized by the body as sugar or as a carbohydrate. It is not metabolized by the body for energy and does not affect blood glucose levels. Sucralose has no effect on carbohydrate metabolism or insulin secretion. Foods and beverages sweetened with SPLENDA® Brand Sweetener can provide good-tasting, lower-calorie alternatives for people with diabetes who are interested in reducing their calorie or sugar intake. As always, people with diabetes should consult their doctors or diabetes healthcare professionals for advice on an individualized dietary plan.

I am a diabetic and I use Splenda all the time. It disolves differently in coffee and stuff but it still tastes a million time better than any of the other carb free sweeteners. There are lots of tips on using it in cooking on Splenda.com

splenda is safe. I am atype 1 diabetic and I use splenda. It is a form of sugar . They take sugar and use a bleaching process so the part that is what we know sugar as (the caleries, and what makes your bs go up) is gone, bleached away.
