I won't say that it will help, but it certainly won't hurt. Everyone in our house has asthma--right down to the dog! We use air purifiers in our bedrooms during the day, but turn them off at night.
Other great things to do: change the air filter every 20 - 30 days. We have found that the cheapest ones are really the best. We've spent loads of money buying filters that are supposed to be THE BEST only to find that we could have saved our money. We run our ceiling fans just to keep the air moving, but have to clean those off every other day. You can't let the dust build up on them. Do an air exchange every 30 days. This is an idea introduced to us by our allergist. After awhile the air inside will become old, dirty and filled with germs. Open all of the windows, turn on the a/c, turn on the ceiling fans and force the air to move around. Do that for about 30 minutes then close the windows, filter the air through the a/c and the air purifier and breathe easier for the next month. Be careful about the type of cleaners you use. We have found that Odo Ban (from Sam's) is the best cleaner for us. Remember that bleach may cause her to have an asthma episode and be careful when using it around her.
I hope that all goes well with your niece. I know from experience that asthma can be an ugly beast.

I believe the 1st man or woman get the owner/apt mgr to do away with the mould. The air purifer could be a waste of money truthfully. you may attempt taking some bendryl at night and a non-drowsy antihistamine in the time of the day. what's going on is you're likely having an allergic reaction to the mould, which will persist til the two the mould is long previous or your immune equipment stops getting inflammed. All an airpurifier will do is extremely pass the air around and unfold the mould spores even worse. Wash your sheets and outfits in extremely heat water to kill what you may on your sheets. in case you will see that the mould you may attempt to get a mildew killer, yet especially it rests on the owner. i'm sorry this incredibly isn't plenty help , yet attempt an antihistamine for now

If you are talking about these chemicals, MOST certainly not!
I'm an asthmatic myself, and they are killing me, a lot of other people feel the same.
They do NOT purify the air, what they do is emit chemicals that clog the scent-receptor cells in your nose and prevent them from smelling anything.
There are air filters for asthmatics, but someone I know found no relief by that either, although I've heard that it works for some people.

I feel your pain. I've had asthma for 14 years now and have seen several doctors. The truth is, there is no known cure for asthma at the moment. But the symptoms can be prevented. It really depends on what causes your brother's asthma. Mine is usually dust and hot weather. But I think the universal method is using the control inhaler.
I cured my Asthma the natural way?

Yes...also use a small fan to circulate the air in her room. Get her tested for allergies..insist on the blood test NOT the skin test.
Vacuume( even on a hardwood floor) and dust every day while running the machine.

Yes, but check with your doctor or allergist to see which brand he or she recommends.
