Go to another hospital with specialist paediatrists.
In the meanwhile,
a plant sacred to the Hindus, 'TULSI' - let him consume 12- 18 fresh leaves a day- immediately after getting up in the morning. It can not have any side effects.
In addition, try Cow Urine [ yes, it sounds gross- but it's a great medicine]- filter FRESH cow urine through 7 layers of muslin cloth and drink about 200 ml early morning with TULSI leaves if possible before brushing teeth or consuming anything. Consume anything after a gap of atleast 30 minutes. [ Cow should be healthy, milching and living in hygienic conditions]
Alternately,
'Neem' [again a Hindi word] - fresh Neem leaves- 7 + 7 neem fruit [ these are al quite bitter] may be consmed first thing in the morning. Neem is a great natural pesticide with no known side effects and kills body bugs very effectively.
No known side effects, i assure you.
These are time tested [ over 1000s of years] Ayurvedic Medicines.- you can continue with these even with you rnormal medicines.
Good luck to all concened

DEFINITELY TRY A DIFFERENT HOSPITAL -- always worth getting a second opinion. Not all doctors are the same.
Also try researchign some of the those online medical journals in USA for the symptoms that he has.
I hope he gets better soon. Best wishes.

Sometimes the simplest answer is the right one. Is it possible he had or has food poisoning or Ecoli or something like that? That's the problem doctors only go for the obvious signs and sorry to say they don't know everything. Are they atleast trying Antibiotics? I'll pray for him.
