Yes it is a common thing. Sometimes it is the way your position is in the bed. You end up swallowing a lot of air. You can loosen up your mask so there is a tiny leak. This may prevent you from swallowing it. Also you can take something before you go to bed that will neutralize the gas. It's called gas-x, you can get the equate brand in Wal-mart.
