Yes! It is a tradition for Chinese people to celebrate holidays like new years with a roasted pig. The crispy skin with a tiny layer of fat followed by meat will have you licking your fingers! It may sound gross but thats what i look forward to whenever theres a family party! Yummy!

It's called "pork" and "bacon" and "ham". Properly cooked and eaten in moderation, there's nothing wrong with it. I don't subscribe to the idea that it is ritually unclean, having been entirely unable to discern any reasonable cause for thinking it so.
Same thing with beef...I find it peculiar and unreasonable that the front half of a beef is kosher while the rear half is not. I've been known to purchase a whole hindquarter of beef and roast that over an open fire to serve eighty to a hundred and ten guests. None of them has suffered any horrid consequences as a result of that non-kosher meal.
I have no quarrel with those who choose to eat kosher. It is their choice - and in fact the first beef hindquarter I ever did over an open-pit fire was purchased from a farmer who kept kosher. He and I remained friends for years until he passed due to natural causes. So tell us - do you eat pig or not -and why?

Vincent: Want some bacon?
Jules: No man, I don’t eat pork.
Vincent: Are you Jewish?
Jules: Nah, I ain't Jewish, I just don't dig on swine, that’s all.
Vincent: Why not?
Jules: Pigs are filthy animals. I don't eat filthy animals.
Vincent: Yeah, but bacon tastes gooood. Pork chops taste gooood.
Jules: Hey, sewer rat may taste like pumpkin pie, but I'd never know ‘cause I wouldn't eat the filthy motherf---er. Pigs sleep and root in s--t. That's a filthy animal. I ain't eatin' nothin' that ain't got sense enough to disregard its own feces.
Vincent: How about a dog? Dog eats its own feces.
Jules: I don't eat dog either.
Vincent: Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal?
Jules: I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. A dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
Vincent: Ah, so by that rationale, if a pig had a better personality, he would cease to be a filthy animal. Is that true?
Jules: Well we'd have to be talkin' about one charmin' motherf---in' pig. I mean he'd have to be ten times more charmin' than that Arnold on Green Acres, you know what I'm sayin'’?
Vincent: [laughing] That's good.

ribs, bacon, ham, chops, tenderloin, YUM
We were in a restaurant over the summer and pig tails were on the menu. My mother asked the waitress, "What are pig tails?" thinking they were some kind of dessert, like elephant ears or beaver tails. The waitress replied, "The last part of the pig over the fence!" We ordered one to try it. It tasted kinda like ribs, but really greasy.

pig - after being processed people call ham, bacon, pork meat exectra. but i didn't consume or eat pork. cause ermmm pig will eat anything come accross its way. and even their sh*t. ermm and scientifically proven pork contains worm or bacteria that won't get killed altho you've cooked, boiled, fried the pork. its just being loyal friend to pork meat and stay in body as parasite ( ppl who eats the pork meat ). and you could check on regular or loyal pork - eater, there might be reddish or brownish color of dots spotted on their skin, that might be the everlasting never-die worm or bacteria ( just sharing info, sorry if any get offended, you guys choose what you choose to eat, and you're the boss of your own tummy )

Yes, pork is a staple in my house. We often have sausage with rice and tomato sauce and spices or noddles and vegetables with a bacon or ham trimmings cooked in for flavor. It's really good!
