I'm asking because a lot of the time, when I say I'm Christian, people assume I'm a bigot.

Not all people assume that ALL Christians are like that.
Only a hand full, and a lot of them cruise this section...

All my people just live Christian life's.grandparents aunts uncles. everyone in my family. no extremist views at all. never have heard a single word putting down other people or there religions or faiths or cultures.they simply live there lives in accordance with Gods will in there life's taught to them thru prayer, thru the words in the bible.what Jesus said, for us to have love.knowledge and wisdom coming from the spirit of God which is seen in there life's.There all an inspiration to me.God loves us all, no matter what your religion or lack of religion.God bless you all.and I am reading the Qur'an right now to better understand there religion.and if they were all terrorists we would all be dead. theres plenty of so called Christian terorists.Bush i s supposed to be a Christian but so far theres about a half a million dead ennocent Iraqis . thats terrible.and we support the jews who kill so many enocents.we need to change the course, and get back some Godly ideals, morals. honor. kindness. compassion.in our Governments workings.& take care of our own people first.God Bless America

The people who do are the same type that assume that all Muslims are like the extremists depicted on the news. Did you know that only 15% of Muslims are Arab? And yet, Arab Muslims get over 80 percent of the news coverage.

Not all Christians are extremists. But never let it be said the media doesn't have an agenda.

probably because that's all they see on the news.
You don't see any "normal" non-extremist Christians on the news just being good Christians do you??

Those people live a life of useless passion, which requires NO study in anything! Reading the news requires no intellect, but questioning the news is another thing!

same reason they think all muslims are violent because thats the information we are fed by the media, they wouldn't focus on a good thing that has achieved by any religion but are only to quick to show violent extremeists and the consequences of their actions

they are just ignorants who need to get slapped in the face a couple of times to let them realize that what they believe about christians is completly wrong.
