Uh...I am confused...cheese balls have CHEESE in them...wouldn't meat be a MEATBALL?

Yummy that sounds good.

[ I know what you mean, some cheese balls DO have tiny bits of meat in them. If you already have a cheese ball recipe in mind , but it contains meat, just leave the meat out. Don't worry about replacing the meat with anything.]

I've used this recipe for cheeseballs before and it's delicious. It's meatless too!

2 packages (8 oz. each) cream cheese
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon chopped pimento
1 tablespoon chopped green pepper
1 tablespoon chopped onion
2 teaspoons Worchestershire sauce
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Dash of red pepper sauce
Dash of salt
Chopped pecans

Try egg. It'll bind the thing together. And you could add a little flour to make it more solid.

But if you do any of the above, you will have to cook the cheeseball (so add enough egg/flour so that the whole thing doesn't melt into a gooey pile on you!!)

meat in a cheeseball? Never seen those. The only cheese balls I ever seen have been covered in walnuts.

Mmmmm, cheeeeese....

TVP, soaked in real beef broth....not the bouillon cubes.
Do you know some cheeseball recipes are now replacing meat with some nut/fruit combos or Cookie spices like cinnamon?

They're moving that way....
The fruit/nut ones are pretty good.

You're off to a good start - maybe add some parsley and cracked black pepper.
If you are wanting to add meat (I'm confused), chop up a jar of dried beef.

spinach, chopped water chestnuts, nuts, even dried cranberries would be good. in fact, all of those combines with cream cheese and spices sound delicious!
