Samosas ( or Sambosas) -there are two names for them- are similar to puff pastries only these are made from filo leaves. You can fill them with various fillings. Some of mine would include mashed potatoes with grated carrots and herbs, a mixture of cooked mincemeat with onions and a teeny bit of garlic, green peas and any other kind of veggies, or even cream cheese with chopped spinach -which is really tasty. I make all kinds in batches and store in my freezer for anytime they are required. They are normally deep fried or baked in oven. They are very much like spring rolls.

Samosas are triangle shaped filo pasties, deep fried and have fillings of veg, meat or chicken. Usually served with lemon and chutneys. Its Indian in origin, but depends on what type of restaurants you order them from, i.e South Indian there maybe smaller, or different types of pastry used. They are very delicious, and can even buy them from Tescos!
