I have a Minimed 508 insulin pump & supplies that I no longer use. Does anyone know where I can donate them? I found "http://www.charlesray.g12.com", but they only accept the Minimed Paradigm pump.

My pharmacist told me to contact Minimed, and Minimed only knew of the Charles Ray organization (the one I mentioned in my question). I'm hoping someone out there knows of some other organization that accepts insulin pump donations.

Ebay doesn't allow the sale of medical devices or supplies, I checked. I did find http://www.medmarketplace.com, but I don't know how effective it is, and also I would prefer to donate the insulin pump directly rather than sell it myself to raise money. The church is a good idea, but I would need to make sure they know exactly how to distribute the donated pump (as opposed to accepting the donation and then trying to figure out how to distribute it afterwards).

BTW I upgraded to the Minimed Paradigm pump, which is why I am looking to donate my old pump.

Forget anything you have ever been told about Diabetes.

And get this - it has nothing to do with insulin, exercise, diet or anything else you've heard in the past. It's all based on latest breakthrough research that Big Pharma is going Stir Crazy to hide from you.

I don't know about your area, but in Northern Virginia, there is a "free clinic" that is always on the lookout for diabetic supplies ... when I changed insulin types, they took all of the unused insulin I had.

Check with your area medical association ... they can probably steer you toward such a group.

contact JDRF.org and they may help you as many type one diabetics use the insulin pumps. My five year old niece has been on hers for 2 years now.

My 508 pump just died yesterday and my warranty ran out in April so I'm searching the web for a pump I can afford. How much would you sell your pump for?

Yes I do. My wife uses the Minimed paradigm model.Did you get a new pancreas and kidneys? Anyways,my church or yours may be able to use it for the less fortunate people who are awaiting a decision from Medicare and may be just the blessing they are seeking.
