To aspirate means that you can have your food go down the wrong pipe and land up in your lungs. A strict aspiration precaution means that the doctors feel this patient is at risk for some medical reason, of this happening and feeding would be limited and watched.

Everyone is telling you what the aspiration is but not the precaution part of your question
Precautions for aspiration are these: Have the person be fed or watched while eating. Make sure the person is doing the 'chin tuck' when swallowing. Thickened liquids in honey or nectar consistency is a must. Most likely puree or mechanical soft diet too. Head elevated almost 90 degrees while eating and a half hour after eating. No water unless it is thickened and no straws.
Hope this helps

this means a patient should be closely supervised when eating, and they usually get evaluated by dysphagia team to know what they and they cant eat. if they are compromised sometimes they are recommended to avoid thin liquids. they are instructed to be focused while eating..no talking while swallowing, and they should be at 90 degrees upright position when eating, to avoid, reflux or swallowing the wrong way, getting food or liquids to their lungs
