Get the whole line up of s.t.d.'s including the h.i.v. virus. Gardnerella spp. is easily cleaned up with a course of the antibiotics, flagyl (metronidazole), or clindamycin, or moxifloxacin. Garnerella and a few anarobic bacteria cause bacterial vaginosis. Millions of women have it and go through life not realising that they have a medical condition. What is it? A fishy odor in the vagina (it should mildly smell like yoghurt). Also the normally colourless vaginal fluid is milky or gray. None of that is normal and can be cleaned up with a course of treatment. Please make sure that all your intimate partners, (male, female, other) are all treated with antibiotic at the same time. That avoids a round of ping pong reinfection.
Using a condom would help stop transmission but it's noit foolproof.

Gardnerella is not that serious and nine times out of ten it is not sexually transmitted. Gardnerella is a type of bacteria. The infection you get from gardnerella is called bacterial vaginosis. It is simply an overgrowth of bacteria in your vagina that you can get all by yourself. If your boyfriend didnt admit to cheating on you, I would say you owe him an apology. If you had bacterial vaginosis and had unprotected sex, you gave it to him and he simply gave it right back to you. Although this is kind of uncommon. Ask your doc more about bacterial vaginosis.

I would explain the situation to your doctor and be checked for all STD's just to be safe.
Better safe than sorry.
UM have your sexual partners wear condoms. What if he had given you something worse like AIDS?

from what i read. get tested and tell the doctor everything . if your .ex. gave this to you and knew he was infected. by law it is a feloney. as far as best answer we are here to answer questions . as far as sex with another. ask your doctor this . he will do tests and that way you can be better informed. i would tell you not to engage in sex till you see a doctor. better safe than sorry. good luck. ?my opion?
