A person should not be against obesity but against the discrimination of the obese and their right to have insurance cover Weight Loss Surgery. Not all obesity want to be that way or have a choice. Also not all obese are unhealthy and not all skinny people are healthy either. Skinny people are just as likely to a heart attack and other health issues just as well as an obese person.

I'm very obese. About 130 # heavier than I should be. It is hard for me to do a lot of things. Sex is hard. Work is hard. People look at me funny. I can't pick up things up. I can't fit into a lot of spaces.
The fat has caused me to have diabetes. The my wife has been heavy and had diabetes for 30 years. She has lost the feeling in her feet and falls down a lot. She used to be a nurse and now she can't work. She hates that. She has been a very good nurse and now she mostly is alone all day and is very depressed.
Being too fat is bad for you in so many ways. Once you get the weight on, it is very hard to get it off.

People should be against BECOMING obese because of the health risks. However, I do not like it when people dislike others because of their weight. I wasn't terribly overweight (I was pudgy, but not fat or obese) as a child, but I was still made fun of for being fat. It's awful.

It's very unhealthy. However, a person should not look down on a person because he or she is obese.

Because they're entitled to their own opinion? I think most people are against obesity because of health risks associated with obesity and/or aesthetics.

Because it is not good for health. If a person like to be a bit more fat, it's good and personal taste do not discuss. But when it starts to damage the health, the personal taste should be at second importance.

Because they're self-focused and self-centered. They don't understand that there are real medical conditions which cause obesity. It doesn't come just from over-eating.

because we don't want to be the 7th obeise state on the map. the reason we are so fat is because food is so avalible here. it ua=sed to be if you wanted a taco you would have to make a shell or a flour soft taco, then after doing all that work you don't even want a taco. now all we have to do is get in our cars and drive to taco bell. the reason our contry is the fattest contry is because in other states the food is so known and in other contrys they probally haven'y even heard of those kinds of fatty foods.

well first of all it comes with social stigmas...as well as health problems. who wants to die before thier time? not me. why are thin and healthy people against those that are fat? that is a good question right there. my wieght affects you in no way...only me and my family. and in my case it is caused by an actual problem in my body....not weakness or stupidity as to how to properly lose the wieght.
