Bacteria is the cause.
Antibiotics are the cure.
Along with no soda or other sugary, carbonated beverages. Drink plenty or water and cranberry juice.
But above all see the Dr. to get the medicine. If left untreated it can turn into a kidney infection which is very very painful and far more serious.

There are many causes of Bladder infection and a urine sample would be needed to find what anti-biotics are needed to cure them. As bladder infections are a symptom of some STD's, I would recommend you see a Doctor. Only you know if that could be a cause but any infection needs treatment.

There can be a number of factors, if you dont go to the toilet often enough this can cause bacteria to multiply and cause an infection. Bladder infections can be dangerous if left untreated as they can lead to kidney infection (which hurts, trust me ive had it!) Usually antibiotics will clear it up fine, to prevent further infections drink plenty of water to ensue that you pass water regulary also drinking cranberry juice can help lessen your chance of water infections.
