Tofurkey (slices)- how (good) do they taste? Any special way of preparing them?

IMO they have the same problem as Yves and a few others-too bland. It's kind of weird but the Tofurkey roasts taste better than the slices. They aren't vegan but I prefer the Worthington slices. Not sliced but vegan are the MS Farms chickie strips, stew them with some celery and onion juice along with sage and they taste 'turkeyish' since most people associate those flavors with turkey.
The Tofurkey slices benefit from a quick toasting in a hot skillet-drives off some of the moisture and concentrates the flavor!

I love tofurky slices. Just use them in sandwiches as you would sliced turkey.

Quorn is even better, though. Pity it is illegal here in France. I used to get the Quorn nuggets and have them with ketchup like chicken nuggets. Also the patties make great "chicken" burgers like at KFC. I also love Boca burgers and veggie hot-dogs (pretty much any kind).

Basically, fake meats are supposed to take the place of actual meat, so you're supposed to use them as you would use meat. I used to love burgers, hot-dogs and turkey sandwiches. So now I love the vegetarian alternatives.

They are an acquired taste. My husband loves them, but I don't. If you want something that tastes like meat, veggie burgers are a much better option. Especially the chicken-flavored ones.

I've tried some of them. They aren't bad at all on a sandwich with all the fixings. I prefer cooking up some Quorn tenders, mixing them with mayo and making "chikn salad" when I want something more mainstream.

I wouldnt try tofurky, but I have had other veggies products that Ive enjoyed. Veggie burgers are great
