Hmm this one is debateable, If her surname was Kerr and she'd named the Child Wayne then this could be a problem. But as its Carr, Wayne Carr Hmmm... Yes! it could be interpreted as something else Lol.
I suggest you speak to you friend about your concerns, saying something like... If your surname was Spencer would you call your child Mark? After Marks & Spencers (uk)

Good Luck!

Although you may feel like the name is wrong, she obviously likes it. I dont think that you would be wrong in telling her how you feel, but remember to be gentle. She is in an emotional state right now and the last thing that she needs is a friend baggin on her because he/she doesnt agree with the name she choose for her baby. Remember you are entitled to your opinion, but that doesnt mean that you have to make it known all the time. There is a perfect place and time for everything :D

forget approximately approximately her! Your toddler is going to have that call for something of his existence, and while he's 15 or 30 or 50 he won't care that some random woman available has an identical sounding call. while i became into born, my mom named me Claire- the two she and her superb chum had constantly enjoyed that call. approximately 2 years later her superb chum additionally had a daughter and observed as her Clare (diverse spelling, only such as you're offering). interior of approximately 2 years, they ended up living in thoroughly diverse international places. at the instant the different Clare and that i might see one yet another as quickly as a decade, if that. As adults no one even notices that we've the comparable call. My superb chum is due 6 weeks till now me, and neither all of us is too prepared to communicate the names we adore with the aid of fact we does not prefer to experience like we "stole" a acceptance off one yet another. contained in the tip, nonetheless, that's not proper what you observed as the toddler, or the place you purchased the call (whether you probably did take it rapidly off her). it is your baby, and that's their call for existence.

Personally, I think it would be wrong to tell her the name she chose for the baby is "wrong". The name she chose is one she likes. You can tell her your opinion, but to judge weather it's wrong or right is personal, and should not be said. Remember, she is your friend, and your should respect her decision as HER decision, and not one you should make for her. How would you feel if the name you chose for your baby was judged and baulked at..especially by a friend??

P.S. Oh GAWD!! Am I slow!! Very funny!!

What's wrong with Wayne Carr?

If you don't care for it, tell her, but don't expect her to tell you how brilliant you are for your opinion.

play on the words, she will realise it herself. Go in there one day and say 'where little wayne carr"... emphasize it... she'll get it.

Um ya...it took me a minute to figure it out, but honestly I don't think there is a "nice" way to tell her without hurting her feelings. Sorry.

it is not up to you to tell your friend that you think the name is wrong because it is her baby.....if she doesn't change it she will always know that you don't like the name she picked for her child
