you can make a blue rose by changing its geneitc makeup. or you can take white roses, cut the stem on an angle and put in a glass with water that has been mixed with blue food coloring. it will take a few days, but as the rose drinks the water, its pigment will change.
oranges come in pieces because that is the nature of thing. genetics. why do humans have hands and feet, why do our hearts and lungs come in a cavity.

Blue roses are the Holy Grail of rose cultivation--they just don't come in a nice blue (the closest anybody gets is a blue-green, but not a true blue.) Blue is an uncommon flower color in general, and foods that are "blue" are really purple (like blueberries.) But there was a blue-flowered vine that grew up the side of one of the buildings when I was at UF and it smelled like chocolate. Very nice.
The blue dye trick works well with carnations--blue roses take more work. Carnations take up dye quickly, though. Works with celery, too--you get green ribs with blue strings. Very entertaining.
Oranges are in bitesize segments because they'd be too messy to eat if they were all one chunk, and nobody would fool with them. Or they'd juice them and throw away the seeds. But if the seeds are in the segments, then you spit out the seeds as you eat the orange, and maybe an orange will grow (natural selection or something.)

"nt tlkin bt the choc" confused me at first, but now I see. lol.
I think blue roses are genetically modified plants either this or they are fed specific nutrients to enable the blue hue (In much the same way as hydrangeas respond to certain types of soil.
Oranges are in bite size segments because God was clever.

we can make blue roses either by cloning, or rarely by genetically.Because roses are propagated by vegetative reproduction(they are sexually sterile,so we do not see any seeds for rose) nothing much goes there in genetic level Only cloning is possible
N Ext coming to oranges, all of know that fruit develops from flower after fertilization. In orange flower the gynoecium or the part which turns in to fruit is made of multicarpels and syncarpous(many carpels and all are covered by one wall)
So after the flower turns in to fruit, all the carpel develop into small segments which we eat, each with its own seeds of course. All segments are covered by orange colored fruit wall.

Mix some blue (or any other coloured dye you choose) in a jar of water. Then stand a cut rose in the jar. The capillary action of the rose sucks up the water and changes it's colour.
Have fun !

blue roses............dye them, they look cheap and nasty, or by a long and arduous process of F1 hybrids and cloning.
Oranges, like many (like nearly all fruits and vegetables) display pental symmetry, you shopuld only find seeds in five of the segments however mr genetics has messes around with the nature and creatd seedless and many seeded fruits for his own evil gains.
dont trust them, they are all evil boooo
