about everything. where we're going to eat, what we're going to do, what time we're going to meet, everything.

i think he's afraid that if he disagrees with me, i'll be mad. but i've told him, really, it's his turn to choose, i'll like whatever he likes, etc.

any tips on helping him feel like he can make the decisions and not have to worry so much about what i'll think? maybe i've been wording it all wrong, i dont know...

thanks in advance.

I think he's just indifferent and would rather you make a decision so you'll be happy. I don't think it's apathy or fear or anything like that. Oftentimes when my wife and I are trying to decide where to eat, she wants me to decide when I could really care less where we eat, but then when I finally decide on a place, she doesn't want to go there. Therefore, I ask her to choose because then we'll both be happy. Don't take it personally.

Now, I can understand it if you'd rather have your partner be more decisive and be a stronger leader in your relationship. If that's the case, then you might want to tell him that so that he can work on it.

Good luck!

I have this same problem. My bf is really quiet and shy. He NEVER wants to decide on AYTHING. He always, says "Whatever you want!" I guess I am just not use to it, all my exes have had the whole "If it aint about me, I dont care" attitude. I cant get him to decide on anything. I will ask, you ready to go to bed, he'll say "If you are"! I am like WTF?!?!?! Sorry, I know that this is supposed to be an answer, but I just had to say I can definately feel you on this one!

Tell me that he should decide. Do not suggest about anything. Tell him to be the boss. he will surely change slowly.

Just tell him when it is his turn to make a decision, he must make it decisively. Tell him that turns you on when he does that.
