Not only are you adding tons of additional calories (you should eat most of your calories not drink them) but you are destroying the enamel on your teeth!
So yes it is possible that as you age you will start to gain weight from the additional caloric intake....as well as start to loose some teeth!
Try drinking one glass of water for every mountain dew you drink...and then try to cut back on the amount of dew you have.
If you can stop drinking it for a while, you will find you may not like it when you go back to it.
If you are worried about getting fat, just start making healthier choices. Mountain Dew is useless to your body, but water is helpful to making your body function better.
Good Luck

Also in the future you may have osteoporosis. Pop has acidic properties that impairs calcium absorption, and as a young woman you need to be aware of that. Also the caffeine in mountain dew will impair your adrenals and you may develop chronic fatigue syndrome when you are older and are doing the Dew and coffee at the same time. They also tell older adults now about the evils of sugar and how it produces inflammation of the body which cause all the cancers, heart diseases, genetic diseases, etc diseases of old. I think young adults should be aware of this also.

Yes. The sweetner in Mt. Dew and other sodas is not sugar but high fructose corn syrup. HFCS is extremely addictive and actually worse for you than just plain sugar (and you already probably know that sugar is not good for you). Quit now while you can - drink more water and milk - because what you do today for your health - your body will thank you for in the future.

I'm not really sure. I can tell you I'm 29 yrs. & I too drink a lot of mountain dew everyday. I only weigh 110 pounds. I know if you drink a lot of soda it is bad for your stomach & u should drink plenty of water as well.

Yep. If you drink a soda every day for a year, you will gain 15 lbs. It's scientifically proven. Cutting out soda out of your diet will help you lose weight more than you know!

I have been drinking Coke since I was 12 and I am not overweight. They say soda is bad for you and to drink water or juice instead. But thats your decision.
