Why does my hair get curly when I wet it?

I was washing my hair and when I stopped my hair had a coily texture

It's most likely because your hair is naturally curly. Do you use products that straightens your hair? If you do, once you wash it out, your hair will go back to normal. My hair is tiny, spirally curly, and I straighten it. Once I wash it again, it goes back to curly.
