If they've screwed you over in the past?

Am we allowed to feel bitter and resentful even if not directly vocal about this towards them? Is it acceptable to feel pangs of contentment and happiness whenever some tragedy or other befalls them?

It's normal to have feelings like these, just don't hold on to them. There's no point. For all the time and energy you use to feel bitter and resentful, you could find something else to direct that energy into. What comes around will go around sooner or later so try to get over it and move on with your life. It's too short to spend it feeling this way. You will miss out on so much more of life if you hang on to all this pain.

Look wishing or doing bad to someone is not the way to do things. Remember this, kindness will always outweigh any bad that people have done to you whatsoever. I know it is hard to turn your cheek when people have done you wrong, but in the long run it makes you a better person and it really shows that you have character and class and you know how to handle adversity. Handling adversity is something that if you work on will really make people look at you in a positive manner.

Revenge is best served cold.
Don't wish him bad luck, In fact wish him good luck.
Let time take its course. You will getthe opportunity to pay him back for what he richly deserves. It may take months or even years but you will get the chance. I promise. But to do so there needs to be a little contact so if you are tough on him now, you won't get the opportunity for that satisfying payback later.

Wait and do it!
