There is this guy I liked (note I say liked, not like!), we'd liked each other for about six months, and he finally asked for my number a few saturdays ago, and walked me home, was really nice etc. he took me out for drinks a few days later, it was fun. He contacted me the next day to say he had a great time, and that he would see me the next night if I was out. Then, when I did see him the next night he was doing the whole "playing it cool" thing, didn't hardly talk to me. Finally, the next night I was at the pub with my parents for dinner, and he walks in with this other girl!! I went to the bar by myself to get a drink just in case he didn't want to say hi cos my dad was there, but he didn't even bother, and I've not heard from him since! I'm not THAT bothered, just curious why he would bother to take me out and say he had a great time etc. and then be all funny! This girl he was with looked like she was just a friend, they didn't look like bf/gf...! (could have been I guess!)

Becuase he's a knob. I assume you thought it may be a male thing. But no he's just a knob.

Sounds to me that a) this guy is a berk or b) the girl was his g/f and he couldn't say Hi because she would get mad (and he is still a berk!) If you have his number, why not call him or when you see him again say "Hey, was that you at the pub the other night? Sorry I didn't greet you, but I wasn't sure". That way, you spare your dignity, show him he is not so IMPORTANT as he thinks, and also, if there is a good reason for him not greeting you, gives him the opportunity to explain it, without you having come across as a b.itch. Win Win!

He prob did have a good time but like you, he just liked you as a friend and nothing more.

You didn't mention a kiss so maybe it was just a good date as friends.

The reason why he didn't speak to you was probably because he didn't want to explain himself to this girl who he has only taken out on a first date, you know what men can be like.

If it really is bothering you, you could always phone him and ask why he never spoke, don't take it to heart though...since he is not the one you want to spend the rest of your life with you have nothing to worry about :)

That's guys for ya!, the probability is that he didn't expect to see you in the pub when he took the other girl there, its likely that he was seeing the pair of you at the same time and that it just happened that you accidentally met! and his silence was a kinda guilty feeling and may be his apprehension in chase you caused a scene..

on the date he decided that he wasn't as attracted to you as he thought. his lose. Once during a date I said that I didn't kiss a guy until we dated 3 months. at the end of the date he said he had a great time and that we would get together the coming weekend. needless to say he didn't call and I didn't care. He only said that because he didn't want to get into a discussion of why he didn't want to see me again.

I think the question you should be asking is - bearing in mind you now know what he's like (not dependable) why should you care?! Move on and put this whole sorry episode down to an experience to learn from

Sounds like he either changed his mind, is shy or wants to play games. Give him a call to meet up as mates, as if there's nothing to be offended about and see how he reacts. If he makes excuses or seems off, forget about it but, if not, it'll probably turn out he just had something on his mind!

it could have been a friend maybe he is not ready to be in a realtionship. and he just likes girls as friends right know and maybe when he gets ready to get in a realtionship he will call you but he could be like some guys and see how excited you are to get with him. GOOD LUCK

Noo idea. Maybe he likes another girl more than you. Or maybe it was his sister or a good friend like you said. Either way, it's really sketchy that he immediately drops all contact from you. w/e, move on from this loser!

He did it because he is an ar*se. Don't even begin to trouble yourself over a pathetic little person like that. Put him from your mind and be a better person than him.
