I have been struggling to get a full nights sleep lately. I am not worried about anything but getting a decent nights sleep. It takes me ages to fall asleep most nights... then i wake up 2 or 3 times in the night. Can anyone help with some ideas of what i can do to get SLEEP!!!

Before the time you usally go to bed take about 30mins or an 1 hour to wind down from your day. If you make it a routine it helps. Also when you spend time in bed try not to do too many other things like watch tv, play video games, work, read (too much) try and make your room into a relaxing place to just sleep.
Also sex can make you tired it releases certain sleep enduncing chemicals when you are done so you could always try that.
Good luck hope you get better sleep.

1) Stop drinking alchohol in the evenings
2) Don't eat for 3 hours before you go to bed.
3) Don't smoke for about the same time
4) Don't play PC games or engage in other mentaly stimulating things
5) Stop watching TV about 1 hour before you to bed, read a book instead
6) If none of those things work try obtaining a relaxation tape and listening to it as you drift off.

Take bath after the day's struggle/work, take supper to satisfaction and avoid thinking too much for this is caused by stress. Dont strain too much on an idea/thought. This will cost you sleepless nights. Also avoid drugs, eg; cigarette/smoking, drinking, etc.

Insomnia (sleeplessness) is due to stress, dietary and medical
problems. By making small lifestyle changes like having a fixed
daily routine, relaxing and eating properly, insomnia can be
cured. I found the information at http://tinyurl.com/jfzpz useful
for getting sleep.
