Central Saskatchewan, Canada - broccoli - about a dollar a bunch; apples really depend on the variety - red delicious, 1.49/lb, but just bought great yellow delicious for .68/lb; oranges - regular naval, 1.49/lb, but Christmas mandarins are .99; bananas - .59/lb; pecans are horribly expensive; almonds - whole, 1.80 for 100 grams (a pound is 454 grams, I don't want to do the math now); tomatoes - Roma, 1.50/lb; green peppers - on sale right now for .99/lb, but usually higher; other colored peppers, really expensive; cabbage, 39 cents a pound; bag of frozen peas - 2.50 on sale for a 1 kg. bag (2.2 pounds).

I will have to look up the prices on some of these as they have been too expensive for me to buy every week. This is an interesting question and gives me something else to think upon while at work later. Thank you!

You are so nice to allow estimations. I was supposed to work today, but I'm going to go to the store and hunt down each of these prices and come right back and tell you!
Couldn't you make a longer list?
