Is loneliness proportional to being understood?

Couldn't one be surrounded with great company all the time and still be lonely?

What could you have to express to the powers that be, that isn't already known?

Loneliness is the unfulfilled desire to positively bond with like minded persons and I think that it is actually the inverse of your question the keyword word being 'misunderstood'. Of course your personality is a big contributor to your being lonely.People respond to warmth, love, humor, the desire to be appreciated and respect. If unfortunately you exude such undesirable traits as aloofness, being cold lack of humor then I guess you tend to be isolated by other people and hence feel lonely.

"God is not lonely just look at all the millions of people that love him." How many of those millions are actually faithful when no one is looking. Yes, I'm sure God is very lonely sometimes.

God is alone, but not lonely.
Man is not alone, but he is lonely.
God has man to love completely; man has nothing to satisfy his love!
