Depends on the tests. Some chemistry tests can be affected. If the check you cholesterol it can me off.

What are you being tested for? Drugs, cholesterol, white cell count?
Unless they told you not to it should be okay. Call the lab before you go.

If your mother wants to test you for nikotines, then you'd better not do it.
Otherwise, You can, no harm, I am experienced on this.
Also, you'd better not smoke if you go to test the sugar in your blood (in case you are diabetic). I guess it may influence on your sugar level. Hope I was of help.
