I don't know about Baghdad, but I was in Falluja in the winter of 2004/2005 and it was cold as a witches t1tie. Brrrrr. I don't know what state it would be compared to though. Sorry. Very little rain though. Really dreary.

I'm from Arizona and spent two winters in Iraq. Only one was in Baghdad. It is very similar to Arizona (Phoenix area). The nights and mornings are around 40 but seem much colder because the temperature change from the day. Plus the wind is a killer there in the morning and night. The venings are bad because of the heat during the day.

I am in Baghdad now, and we have had daytime temps in the 60-70s and it has dipped into the low 40s at night. You can check the daily temp at:

Just type in Baghdad and get a daily update. It gets nasty here when it rains though. I am on Camp Striker and it turns to mud everywhere.

During the nights it can be cold in Iraq. Don't know which US state has similar weather, I think that the some of the South Western regions of the US has similarities, since it is partly a desert region.

It doesnt get too cold here. Its usually in the 60-70's in the day, and drops down to the high 30's and 40's at night. Not sure of what state would be a good comparisson, but I would think some of the SW desert states would compare.
