First things first, That year 1985 is known for a weak transmission, doing anything to increase HP will shorten the life of the Transmission. But to answer the question they have cams and larger air flow plates, injectors, exhaust systems and such to have fun with. Get a 89 SPG already has the body kit and handling package. Tons you can do if you have the time and money!

Make sure that you use NGK spark plugs and Bougicord wires. Check the air filter and clean the throttle body. My 92 900 non-turbo has as much power as my 86 900 Turbo.
