Same as the difference between a parent and a dictator. The parent as not only the right but the obligation to set the limits, enforce the rules, and raise the child to be a good responsible adult. Otherwise they would be abusers. Same with God. Has the creator he is obligated to raise up mankind to be moral and responsible. That requires laws, rules, and obedience.

There is a difference. In the original context, a dictator could do some good! It was a term used in the Roman republic for a citizen granted executive powers to deal with a specific emergency. The expectation was that he would (Often reluctantly) assume the role, do the job, then step down. Amazingly, this often actually happened, believing the maxim that absolute power corrupts absolutely! Read Livy for examples of honourable men assuming the dictatorial role to save the young Republic.
The other difference of course, is that dictators, good or evil, actually exist!

That is the problem with improper interpretation of the religion !
Religious practices are just tools to create a situation to experience the God within us. Then , no more rules, ethics, or morals are needed. What you see as a part of yourself, you would never harm, injure or abuse, and so, when you experience everything around as a part of yourself, then there is no need of just a 'belief' or 'fear' about God and such rules, love is the only way a person can be !

in my opinion i'm in favor of democracy, which means that the major establishments contained in the society must be lower than familiar administration. Now, lower than capitalism we are able to not have democracy by definition. Capitalism is a device in which the major establishments of society are in idea lower than autocratic administration. hence, a business employer or an market is, if we were to imagine of it in political words, fascist; it really is, it has tight administration on the authentic and strict obedience must be familiar at each and every aspect -- there's a touch bargaining, a touch provide and take, besides the undeniable fact that the line of authority is totally complication-free. purely as i'm adverse to political fascism, i'm adverse to monetary fascism. i imagine that until eventually significant establishments of society are lower than the familiar administration of members and communities, that is unnecessary to discuss democracy. The Reagan administration as an example replaced into the most protectionist in submit-warfare American heritage. virtually the total dynamic monetary device contained in the USA is depending crucially on state initiative and intervention: pcs, the internet, telecommunication, automation, pharmaceutical, you purely call it. Run by it, and also you locate huge ripoffs of the commonly used public, meaning, a device in which lower than one guise or yet another the commonly used public will pay the prices and takes the negative aspects, and income is privatized. it really is very distant from a loose marketplace. loose marketplace is like what India had to wade through for a pair hundred years, and a lot of something else of the third international. by your very definition, each and every American president replaced into/is a dictator.

Clever analogy but it does not work that way.

If you are a Catholic, you pretty much can do anything you like, including having sex with your sister and killing your father with an axe. All in the same week.

All you have to do now, is to go to confession on Friday and tell it all to your favourite priest. He'll ask you to get on your knees and ask for God's forgiveness by reciting a few prayers for 10 minutes.

Now you come out of the church with a clean slate and you are on your way to kill your neighbor and rape his wife.

The Mafia, one of the most violent organisation, were all good Italian catholic boys going to church every Sunday.

As a parent I tell my child what to do. She considers me a dictator. I consider her immature and inexperienced. I want her to be a good person, a good citizen and have a happy life.
Dictators are selfish, on the whole. I prefer to think of God as a parent.

God is nothing more than a bully with a massive inferiority complex, well at least thats my understanding from what I have read. I do not think that a perfect creator would possess these qualities.

God actually loves the people but he gives them like what? About 60 or 70 years to get their lives right. That's quite a long enough time don't you think?

Yes it's a common analogy to say that god is like a parent, giving you rules and deserving your love and obedience.

But what kind of parent then tortures their child eternally for breaking one of those rules. Do you think parents have the right to stick their child's hand in the stove flame if they disobey. God does worse than that.

God sounds like pure evil to me.

You, my friend, have a distorted concept. God is not a dictator...he is compassionate, loving and Worthy of all praise. He has set before each man/woman, the choice of Life or Death. He has not forced himself upon any of us...God is a gentleman...He only asks....Oh' that you would chose life over death...he does not force you. A dictator forces his will. Hell was created only for the Devil, no one else...anyone else that ends up there.. gets there...by their own free choice....
