I think you're thinking of the one in Asda for £99.

I've bought one and it's quite good, some people have had problems with it. However Asda are good about taking stuff back - just keep your receipt.

This one is fully removeable, but don't leave the mount visible as they might break in to see if it's in the glove box. I've also heard reports that thieves look for the marks left by the suction cups on windscreens.

Is it worth using instead of maps - it depends. I do a lot of driving that requires me to be able to get to a particular street in various different areas. Although I've got a good road atlas it doesn't help at that level and buying multiple A-Zs would be a pain (and cost more than £99)

I do agree that you need to use a bit of common sense - don't follow them blindly. If it's asking you to do something stupid then ignore it, it will realise you've gone a different way and re-adjust accordingly.

Yes did have one until last sunday and someone broke into our car and stole it, It is a brilliant thing well worth buying but have not seen it in Tesco for £99 but will have a look.

Why don't you save your money and learn to read a map? I am not trying to be funny, but just think how many maps you could buy with £99 and if read correctly, they don't send you down impassable tracks! I have never been lost with a good 'old' map. They don't interrupt your concentration either, and if you listen to the radio, you get regular traffic updates too. It's all down to planning.....
