Mohamed worshiped the moon god Atlah. They started calling the moon god Allah after Mohamed was told that his god was the only god of the 360 gods in that pagan type religion. This is not the same God as the Christians worship. The reason Mohamed was ran out of Mecca (the city where he was born) is because he said that all 359 other gods were false gods. Since then the moon god (Atlah)now called Allah has been taking on more and more traits of the God of the Bible, but is still a far cry off.

Secondly, If a person doesn't believe in the trinity(God the Father, God the son and God the Holy Spirit) Their god is not the God in the Bible. All will stand before the God of the Bible some day, and many will realize just who this Being is. I am not saying that Muslims are pagans, they are monothiestic like christians. I just believe the teachings of the Bible and can't come to the conclusion that Jesus was not a part of God.

God Bless

JETT

The Koran itself has been witness to the Jewish nature of the "Israelite communities of Arabia": Koranic references appear about the rabbis and the Torah which they read, and the prestige and reverence with which the earlier community viewed them.

The Koran contains so many legends and theological ideas found in Talmudic literature that we are able to draw a picture of the spiritual life of the Jews with whom Mohammad must have come into contact.

It was the Prophet Muhammad himself who attempted to negate the positive image of the Jew that had been prevalent earlier. According to historian Bernard Lewis, the Prophet Muhammad's original plan had been to induce the Jews to adopt Islam; when Muhammad began his rule at Medina in A.D. 622 he counted few supporters, so he adopted several Jewish practices-including daily prayer facing toward Jerusalem and the fast of Yom Kippur-in the hope of wooing the Jews. But the Jewish community rejected the Prophet Muhammad's religion, preferring to adhere to its own beliefs, whereupon Muhammad subsequently substituted Mecca for Jerusalem, and dropped many of the Jewish practices.

The Romans had changed the name of the Land of Israel to "Palestine." But from A.D. 640 until the 1960s, Arabs referred to this same Land as "Southern Syria." Arabs only started calling the Land "Palestine" in the 1960s. Until about the eighteenth century, the Christian world called this same Land, "The Holy Land." Thereafter, they used two names: "The Holy Land" and "Palestine." When the League of Nations in 1922 gave Great Britain the mandate to prepare Palestine as a national home for the Jewish people, the official name of the Land became "Palestine" and remained so until the rebirth of the Israeli State in 1948. During this very period, the leaders of the Arabs in the Land, however, called themselves Southern Syrians and clamored that the Land become a part of a "Greater Syria." This "Arab Nation" would include Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Transjordan as well as Palestine.

I think they are right when they say GOD is not ALLAH, when you come to the translation of the meaning of GOD to Arabic it means the Creator and owner of the universe, as the Arab pagans they used to believe in GOD but not ALLAH. ALLAH means the GOD who should be worshiped and only him to be worshiped.

The other point we should read Quran and understand what it is mentioned about Christians and others.
Christians we should respect them and have a good relationship with them but do not expect hem to be happy about your believes, so, the relationship has limits.

There are Christians on this site that are Christians by name and not nature, they give a negative view of Christians and can you ever stop a jester from acting the fool?
You also have Christians on this site who are wonderful, loving open minded people and have respect for Islam just like we do for them x.

You are free to believe you like. you can even believe as most Muslims do that Allah is the same as the Christian God.But if you were to study the bible you would quickly see that they are very different. Muslims will tell you it is because the Bible is corrupt. Now so far does it sound like we are worshiping the same God? The Gospel (good news) Christians believe that God said let us create man in our image. He created his flesh and he breathed in his spirit and the two became a living soul. This is the image of God the father son and holy spirit that make up the one true God.God knew that man was imperfect but gave man the law not so man could live up to it because God knew man was sinful but to show man that he needed God. God is righteous therefore he could not be in agreement with sin and man was sinful and the wages of sin is death. So man had fallen away from God but God had a plan to save his creation. God came to the world in the form of man Jesus and he overcame temptation and remained perfect and was tortured and killed in our place to atone for the sins of all who accept his atonement. Now it should be clear that Allah is not Jesus. But Jesus is the Christian God in the flesh....It is our salvation he could not be anything less because we would have no salvation and we would all die in our sins Now if our God became a man and died on the cross and your Allah did not they would have to be different gods no insult but our God is a god who came to the world and sacrificed himself to save his people. Allah says there is no trinity and he has no son.. and that Jesus was just a man how can Allah and God be the same? They are very different.

hmmmm........interesting

You are more open minded, yet your bible directs you to "go out and kill all infidels".....that being anyone who isn't a muslim.

And many of your people have shown us that they follow this directive by killing innocent people thru terrorist attack all over the world.

Don;'t get me wrong, I know that is probably a small majority of your people, although in a sense , they are the ones who are following your laws by obeying what your bible tells them to do.

That is a sad commentary on your "Allah"

Please don't confuse your "allah" with my God. They are nor the same. Not even close.

Yes, you're right, Muslims are more open minded towards different religions and that's for a reason, which is, chronology of revelations.

Followers are required to believe in the previous revelation, that's why you find Christians believe in Judaism, while Jews don't believe in Christianity.

Islam is the last revelation, and Muslims are required to believe in the previous Revelation, that's why you find Muslims are more open to the other 2 Abrahamic religions.

really Muslims are more open minded than any other religions' people..

We accecpt jews & christians.as our brothers with the other holy books our GOD sent...

I fully respect them & their views & believes...

BUT I dont know why they just hate muslims & keep doing strange opposing things instead supporting muslims...
Why dont they understand that we all are from one GOD...
If they try to understand this concept, Our world will become more & more better place for living.....
