I'm not sure if I've phrased that correctly. I was wondering how Christian gay men and women reconcile who they are with a religion that classes your sexuality as a sin?

Ok but how is that? I'm genuinely curious, I mean no offence to anyone?

the same way adulters do! if you recall in the new testament an adulterous woman was thrown at the foot of Jesus and they told him she was caught in the act and the law says to stone her because it was a capital crime back then but he said 'if you have not sinned you may cast the first stone'

to gabrielbe...
He also told her to " Go and sin no more after He forgave her.

To answer your question.....If they are true Bible believers and truely want to follow the Word of God, they cannot reconcile their being homosexual.
Read it for yourself.....1st Corinthains 6:9 New King James Version. This leave no question as to whether or not it is a sin.....

People try to change things, perception, and views of other people. They think " If we say it's ok " long enough, then it'll be ok.
Sin is sin, always and forever, God's Word does not change. Man changes and tried to justify his changes.............this is still sin

I only understand that it took the Catholic Church hundred of years to finally settle for that the earth become around and not the middle of the image voltaic gadget even after it become shown. I even have confidence that sometime they'll replace in this besides. It only takes time, so till then i assume i could be referred to as a %. and choose Catholic!

Lesbian & Gay Christian Movement Prayer

God, whose love and compassion extends to all without distinction of sex or sexuality

We offer you our lives and experiences as gay men, bisexuals and lesbian women

Help us to play our special part in your work of redeeming love for all people

Give us strength to carry your love into a world that may reject or ignore us

May we journey with Christ in faith and truth and justice trusting in your eternal love

We remember in prayer
*
The Church - that your concern for love, justice and freedom may be honoured by the community of faith
*
Lesbians and gay men throughout the world, especially those facing hatred, injustice or imprisonment; the lonely, isolated and confused; the poor and hungry; the elderly, the sick and bereaved; that they may know themselves to be acceptable and accepted
*
Those we love, especially our partners, our parents, our families and friends, that our love may be a reflection of your creation
*
Those who seek to hurt us, that their hearts may be changed
*
Ourselves - that we may be ready to respond in love to the needs of our gay brothers and sisters and all your creation
*
Lord in your mercy

Hear our prayer

I'm atheist myself but many gays are Christians, you can visit LGCM here and find out more about their take on the Bible and other issues: http://www.lgcm.org.uk/

i think they just believe in a greater god...
i have met gay couples of all religions. i think they just view their god as a more caring and loving father than really tight religion fanatics that take everything literally.

Don't know, I'm not gay but, it looks like they get over it ! I don't care if someone's gay, everyone has the right to survive, I just don't want to hear about their "FUN", as I'm sure that they don't want to know about mine !

Religion is all fiction so you can take anything you like from it and interpret it any way you like.
